Croton EMS had a busy day at Croton's Annual Summerfest! We have a brand-new Croton EMS tent and had many goodies to give away. We gave away hand sanitizer, children's coloring books and crayons about EMS, little first-aid kits, post-it note pads, pens, magnet calendars, and cups. Thank you to those to dropped money into our donation jug! It is much appreciated and enables us to do the fine community work we do.

The ambulance was on full display for adults and children alike to be able to see what the inside of an ambulance looks like. Many children jumped up into it and sat on the bench seat and captain's chair. Our explorers and members showed them around the ambulance. They were able to see how things worked, they were even given rides on the stretcher. Our hope is that giving the children and residents a chance to become familiar with the ambulance will make it less scary if they ever need to take a ride in one. Our senior members were able to meet many village residents and chat about what we do.

Ex-Captain Ken Gilleo was allowed to use a Pedego electric bike as a demo, which enabled him to quickly get to the two emergencies that occurred during the event. Thank you to Pedego!

Thank you to the members who came and set up our booth and those who manned the booth during the event. Your help does not go unnoticed or unappreciated. We are thankful to have such dedicated members in our Croton EMS family. If you are interested in joining our family, please go on over to the "Join our Team" tab and fill out an online application!
