Amanda is a native of the area, having grown up in Cortlandt Manor. Amanda has been a dedicated member of Croton EMS for three years, spending much of her time as a mentor to our Youth Corps members. Amanda takes her commitment to EMS beyond her involvement in Croton; She teaches BLS/CPR at Phelps Hospital to hospital employees and also serves as an instructor for EMT students at the Hoch Center for Emergency Education. Further, she is the proprietor of the Black Cow Coffee location at Phelps Hospital. Amanda has a 15-year-old son, John, who became a volunteer firefighter at Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department when he was 14. When she is not serving (coffee) and protecting (lives), Amanda enjoys a plethora of hobbies, including yoga, mahjong, fishing, beekeeping, and drag racing.
